About
Residential Community
Manor Borough is nestled between Irwin / North Huntingdon to the west, Hempfield Township to the southeast, and Penn Township to the north east. It is situated between PA State Routes 30 and 130. Manor served as a railroad stop, Manor Station, for many years in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The railroad still runs through Manor carrying freight via Norfok Southern. The railroad depot has long been torn down, and in its place is the Manor Borough Office, Manor Community Room, Manor Public Library, and Manor VFD. The Borough celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2020. The Borough has grown in recent years with the development of new single family homes at the Woods of Brandywine and Crimson Pointe, both part of the Penn Trafford School District.
The area known as Manor Borough was settled in 1873 and was incorporated on January 4th, 1890. What was once a Pennsylvania Railroad Station, known as Manor Station, and a coal mining and agricultural community, is now a residential community. Manor is home to more than 3,300 people and covers 2.5 square miles. The Borough is comprised of 2 school districts: Hempfield Area and Penn Trafford; and is serviced by 3 post offices: Manor (15665), Irwin (15642), and Harrison City (15636).
